Clarification of Gate Rules:

The main entrance gate to the property remains locked at all times. Guests are welcome to come and go as needed; however, a $15 gate fee will be charged for each instance of gate access. This fee is payable to the person unlocking the gate.

Exceptions to the gate fee:

  1. Medical emergencies: No fee will apply in the event of an **emergency.

  2. Saturdays: The caretaker is on-site and available to manage gate access without charge.

** Emergency in this context is defined as an actual medical emergency, not just a general trip to the GP.

Notice Requirements: To ensure timely gate access, we request reasonable advance notice. Examples of acceptable notice include:

  1. A day’s notice: Ideal and highly appreciated.

  2. 5 hours’ notice: Fair and manageable.

  3. Less than 2 hours’ notice: May not be possible (other than Saturdays) unless arrangements are made with the caretaker in advance.

Important: While the Property Manager is generally available on Saturdays, gate access on other days cannot be guaranteed without prior notice.

Purpose of the Gate Fee:

The gate fee exists to reduce traffic through neighbouring properties and help manage the impact on the deco road and surrounding area. As a result, we ask that vehicle traffic is limited (especially in the wet). To help manage this, the above fee helps us maintain good relationships with our neighbours and slow down wear and tear on the road. The locked gate also contributes to the security and peace of the property.
